Liaison interpreting

ABALIS recommends liaison interpreting when accompanying a small group of participants of varying nationalities. This often concerns business meetings, international trade fairs or commercial negotiations for small groups of people.

The liaison interpreter translates exchanges between participants or summarises the words of speakers to provide group dynamics and improve the discussion. The interpreter shall have the same mother tongue as the dominant language combination of the group of participants.
